The 'For Your Eyes Only' exhibition features fascinating material, much on display for the first time, including a selection of annotated Bond manuscripts, and Fleming’s Colt Python .357 Magnum revolver. Material from the James Bond films includes the ‘blood–splattered’ shirt worn by Daniel Craig in "Casino Royale", along with prototypes of Rosa Klebb’s flick–knife shoes in "From Russia With Love" and Halle Berry’s bikini from "Die Another Day". The exhibition examines the extent to which the books and films reflect the reality of the Cold War and how much they were a product of Fleming’s prodigious imagination.

The Imperial War Museum requested a design displaying more information on an LCD monitor when a visitor points to the item in a display case. The items on display are fitted into four standard size display cabinets and are covered with protective glass; when the visitor touches the glass above an item then the associated video is displayed on the LCD monitor, giving the visitor further information about the items.

Infra-red touchscreen technology was chosen because the beams of infra-red light pass over the protective glass and there are no wires or semi-transparent surfaces to impair the appearance of the objects.

Another advantage is that, when the exhibition has ended, the same cabinets can be used for another exhibition by changing the items on display and the video content. The resolution of the touch is finger accurate and the position of the items is held in a software table which can be easily be changed.

There was a tight installation deadline of 17th April 2008 when the “For your eyes only” exhibition opened in IWM Museum London venue.
This exhibit can be seen at the Imperial War Museum until 1st March 2009.
